Attendance Reporting by Date

In reporting, we would like to have the ability to pull people who have or have not attended by date range. Both are important to us.

Today we just announced the release of a new feature set. The First Visit and Last Visit fields have been updated with historical attendance data and will be automatically updated based as attendance is taken for Small Groups, Classes, and Events. These fields are available in Lists and can be viewed as a new column and can be filtered by these fields. Read all about it here: https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/97/7611

This sounds similar to the "coming soon" mockup shared in recent roadmap presentations. Attendance reporting in BB ChMS is woeful and behind the state of the industry circa 2001. The mock ups included attendance per class with participants in rows and specific meeting/class/event dates in the columns, with a dot representing attended meetings. This is a good start, but most churches desire much more ability to report on attendance, and attendance reporting should be incorporated into the list function (need to be able to filter by attendance metrics - i.e. people who are assigned to a class, group, or roster(or group of class, groups, or rosters) and have not attended in a period of time, missed X meetings, etc. Exports of attendance data should be able to include more than a 3 month period (should include ANY date range) and those exports should be able to be formatted in more than a mere transaction log. Currently, the class attendance export is great if someone wanted to analyze in a 3rd party analysis tool, but not useful to the average department admin who is not an Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau expert. It's also not very useful if they have to export by 3 month period. And most analysis of that type would be across multiple years, not months.

This is still on our roadmap of items to address, but we don't have a date yet.

We completely agree that this it is important for you to be able to pull lists of people who have or haven't attended within certain date ranges and have committed to working towards this. I don't have a date for this yet, but I will update this idea once I have more information.
