Make mass updates to constituent lists

Blackbaud currently does not provide the ability to make mass changes to fields such as membership status, especially in fields that exist in database view but not in web view or vice versa. Churches frequently need to make an update to a field on many records. For example, a church may want to change everyone who has participated in a welcome class in January with a member status of "prospect" to a member status of "member." Or, when first migrating into BB and cleaning up old data brought over from a previous system with statuses that don't line up with the new design desired in BB, it would be very helpful to be able to filter constituents in a list and make changes to those constituents - on any field related to constituent profile.

    This would be EXTREMELY helpful!! Mass changes are so important in Portfolio view as well, when we're making the same changes to a group of people.

    Agreed - I mentioned this a few times in our implementation. We use mass updates a lot in our old management system. For example: 50 people get baptized and we need to mark them as having that faith journey step and as it is now we need to go into each profile. If we could make a list of people and mass assign that or other info it would be a time saver.
