As site database administrator, I'd like the ability in web view to pull a report at any time on usability (i.e. an audit trail on user log-ins). I consider this a critical security need.
Thanks for commenting so promptly in this regard. Very much appreciated!
I'd like an audit trail for general tracking and, in a worst-case scenario, security purposes. In general, I'd like to be able to verify with at minimum, date, time and IP address details, that staff members who say that they're using the database are actually logging into and using the database. For a doomsday scenario, if a staff member would start deleting data in fields accidentally (or, worst case, the constituent record itself on purpose), I would like to have a report that details that activity so I can troubleshoot accordingly as database administrator.
Hi Jason, What areas you would like an audit trail for and why? This will help us understand what problems you are trying to solve with this request as we want to focus on the highest value items. Thanks for the additional information!
Most definitely. I try to respond promptly, do unto others as you'd have them to unto you right?
That additional detail was very helpful. Thank you!
Luke,
