Volunteer requirements don't seem to matter when assigning volunteers

Connect the volunteer requirements to the position so that the volunteer does not get approved until all requirements are met, and cannot be assigned to an opportunity without the proper requirements.

    Admin response

We have listened to your feedback and have removed the ability to schedule volunteers who do not meet the position requirements.
Thank you again for pointing out how you expected this to work so we could get it updated for everyone!

We completely agree that requirements need to be taken into account when scheduling in the system. You shouldn't be able to accidentally schedule someone who doesn't meet all the requirements, especially when you're working with the children's ministry. This is on our road-map and I will update this feature when I have more news on the delivery timeline.

This so important in keeping kids safe by only allowing volunteers who have been properly approved to be assigned to positions involving kids/minors.  It is very easy to allow someone who is not cleared currently to be put into the position and this can cause some serious issues for a church with both an instance happening and then having the insurance not covering due to a missing link in a procedure.

In the reverse:  When scheduling volunteers in an opportunity, only show the list of “approved” volunteers  – very easy to assign someone not approved to an opportunity, and can cause some critical security issues especially in kids ministries.
